So, I have been thinking about it back and forth while working on the comic version.

And for awhile, I didn't know how to proceed with it. The revised story is complete. But I had a tough decision to make.

Continue the comic (which may take me years to even finish by myself) or go back to it's roots and make it a Visual Novel (Which took me about half a year to complete that cringe piece of work, LMAO).

And honestly, I had alot of fun making the visual novel come to life. I did have some help here and there, but I did most of the hard work and I was so proud of myself. I felt like I accomplished something so huge in 2017. The original visual novel of LDU: First Semester is 4 YEARS OLD!! (I would have made an 4th anniversary picture, but in March 2021, I got REALLY sick and couldn't do it.)

And to be honest, I think I'm ready to accept that challenge again.

Let's make an actual visual novel remaster of LDU: First Semester!

As I speak, I am current working on the scripting for the game. It's alot easier since I remember most of the coding and learning new things to work with the story.

So I bet you are wondering...

What is changing for LDU: First Semester Remastered?

-Of course, the art style! It will be consistent all the way. The original had guest art, which was unique and fun. I would consider it again, but I don't wish to burden anyone. Especially during these hard times!

-This will be a new thing that I learned how to script. Certain characters will remember your choices, depending on what you choose. I always wanted to try doing that in the original VN, but I didn't quite get what I was doing wrong since it kept giving me an error. NOW, I know what to do, so now it's possible! :D

- A revised story! Some things are the same, but the plot of the story have been significantly changed. Trust me, it's MUCH better than the original, that's for sure.

Are you doing all the work again like last time?

Most likely, yes. Some of my friends have shown interest of helping me out. As of now, I'm kind of okay. But if I need help thinking of extra scenarios for the VN, I will come to them first.

Are you doing Guest Characters again??

Yes! here are some spaces that need to be filled. They're not major character fillings but you do get to see your character interact with my OCs. Even if it's for a brief scene. So once I write the list down for what I need filled, I will make an announcement for openings.

Will the game be free?

More than likely, yes. HOWEVER, giving support to me via Patreon while I am working on the visual novel gives you future sneak peeks of artwork that will be featured in LDU: First Semester Remastered, early access to the game before it releases to the public and join the Launch Party in the Discord. When will the game come out?

Don't quote me on this, but if things go well, it should be released sometime in 2022. Once things get really rolling, I'll have a sure date.

Do you have anything to show on the VN?

Not as of now. I'm still scripting the story, making changes as I go. Once the scripting is complete and the VN runs with no errors, I will start on the artwork.

Are you still working on Night 5?

Yes! Still completing that. Hopefully that will be done before I start working on the art for the VN.
